Mr. Raghav Gulur has over 25 years experience in the engineering and business leadership encompassing, Automotive, Aerospace and Process Industry segments. He was responsible for establishing the first Automotive Software Services and Products Company from India as the CEO and Member, Board of Directors of CG-Smith software. He has worked in senior leadership positions in global companies like Tata Group Company, Honeywell and Renault-Nissan. He is currently heading the Technical Center, India of Continental Automotive. He has served as the Chairman of Bangalore chapter of IEEE Engineering Management, Communications and Computer Society, Task Force Member of National Association of Testing and R&D Infrastructure Project(NATRIP), an initiative of Government of India, India Semi-conductor Association etc.
Raghav is an Electronics Engineer with Senior Executive education from Columbia Business School, New York.
Shri PM Soundar Rajan graduated from College of Engineering, Guindy, Chennai in 1973 as an Electronics and Communication Engineer. He obtained his Masters from IISc in the same field in 1989.
He commenced his professional career in 1973 with LRDE. During his tenure at LRDE he designed and developed digital communication systems. From 1978-1996, he served as part of ADE contributing towards the Flight Testing and LCA Avionics Integration activities. He joined DARE (erstwhile ASIEO) in 1996. He contributed towards the development and integration of Mission Computer and other Avionics systems for the Su30 MKI aircraft under the project,Vetrivale.
As the Chief Designer and Project Director of the MiG27 avionics upgrade, he has successfully upgraded the aircraft which is currently in Squadron Service.Shri PM Soundar Rajan assumed charge as the Director of Defence Avionics Research Establishment (DARE), Bangalore on 1st August 2011. He has contributed significantly towards development, integration and certification of mission computers for Su30MKI, MiG27 and Jaguar aircraft which are all in operational use.
During 2011 to 2014, his contributions were towards evolving and implenting EW systems on combat aircraft.
He is the recipient of AGNI Award for excellence in Self Reliance for the year 2003 and DRDO Performance Excellence Award for the year 2008
Shri PM Ashok is a postgraduate in Electronics Engineering and has completed a global management program at Babson college, Boston, USA. Ashok currently leads NXP's South Asia Pacific Automotive segment and India sales.
His 25 years of general management experience in semiconductor and electronics industry includes Sales, business development, design and research in which he has led multilocational and cross cultural teams across various countries. During last several years, he has played leading role in Policy formulations, standardisation, ecosystem development and market research initiatives in Indian Electronics System Design and Manufacturing sector. He has been past Chairman of India Electronics and Semiconductors Association.
Dr. Chitra Thyagarajan
Dr Chitra Thyagarajan has 35+ years of experience in Safety and Reliability analysis in the area of Aerospace, Automotive, Consumer Electronics and Medical Industries. She worked for Defence Research Development Organization Ministry of Defence in India prior to joining TechMahindra. She has grown the Safety and reliability practice in Tech Mahindra by working with several automotive projects with Tier-1 Suppliers/ OEMs across the globe. She is a certified Automotive Functional Safety Expert by TUV (SGS) Germany. She is a certified trainer for TUV SUD India for all their certification programs in the area of Functional Safety. She provides consultancy to industries in implementing the relevant Functional Safety Standards. She has 45+ papers to her credit in the field of safety and reliability presented and published in national / international seminars / Journals. She has co-authored a book on Reliability and Six Sigma published by Springer Verlag (2006). Recipient of professional excellence award by Mahindra satyam (2010).
Mr.PN Ananthapadmanabha Rao
Retd. Outstanding Scientist & Project Director (ADA)
Mr P.N.A.P.Rao obtained his B.TECH (HONS) Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from I.I.T. Kharagpur in 1963. He also obtained M.S Degree from J,N.T.University, Hyderabad in 1984. He is also a Graduate of National Defence College New Delhi.
He worked at Defence Electronics Research Laboratory from 1964 to 1989. He was with Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) as Project Director (System) during the period 1989 to 2002, leading the National Team on the Design & Development of Avionics & Weapon Systems for Light Combat Aircraft ( LCA- Tejas). He held the Post of Outstanding Scientist during 2001-2002 and Emeritus Scientist in 2002-2003 at ADA. He was Professor & Dean at MVSR Engineering College at Hyderabad in 2003- 2004. From 2004 to January 2010 he was a Consultant at Honeywell Technology Solution (HTS) Bangalore. He was also a Faculty for the M.Tech ( Avionics) Course at the VTU Extension Centre at Honeywell. He also worked as Specialist Consultant at NAL working on the National Civil Aircraft Development Program (NCAD) from April 2010 to March 2013.
His fields of Expertise include Avionics Systems, Communication Systems, Electronic Warfare, EMI/EMC, V/UHF Systems, System Engineering, System Integration and Program Management. He has more than 50 Papers to his credit in Journals, Conferences & Books. He was the Hon. Chairman of Society of EMC Engineers( India) from 1996 to 1999. He is a Fellow of Aeronautical Society of India & Fellow of Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers (IETE). He was a Member of the Governing Body of SAMEER, a Society under Ministry of Information Technology. He was conferred the Dr.V.M. Ghatge Award by the Aeronautical Society of India in the year 2001 for his Outstanding Contribution to the Development, Integration and Flight Testing of Avionics System of Indian Light Combat Aircraft. He was also the recipient of the Award by Society of EMC Engineers (India) for the Year 2001 for his pioneering contribution in the field of EMI/EMC in India.
At present he is writing a Monograph on the subject of Avionics which deals with the all the Electronics mounted on Civil and Military Aircrafts. This Project has been funded by Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO)

Dorairaj (Dorai) Vembu is with Sasken Communication Technologies spearheading technology led business development addressing Automotive Electronics and the Internet of Things. Dorai has rich experience in Product Management, product development, program management in Infotainment, Multimedia, Connectivity and the Consumer Electronics space. He has worked on product definition and created roadmap to help Global Tier 1 vendors launch first to market products and manage the Product Development Lifecycle. He has also helped put together process and systems to develop and manage an ecosystem of partners for the co-creation of products.
During his career spanning over 19 years, Dorai has held various engineering positions starting as a developer and graduating to a solutions architect. Dorai now provides technical marketing and Product Management leadership to leverage the convergence of the Consumer, Automotive, and Mobile technologies. He has been instrumental in re-vectoring Saskens key strengths in Telecommunication, Multimedia to successfully penetrate and entrench Sasken as a key player in the Automotive electronics and Consumer Electronics space.
He has successfully established partnerships with Silicon and technology vendors to build integrated solution to meet the demands of demanding customers. Currently Dorai is driving the creation of Sasken’s offerings portfolio in Internet Of things space. Dorai has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from NIT Trichy and a MBA from IIM Bangalore.
Around 14 year’s of hands-on experience in embedded development and integration, worked mainly on Automotive domain along with several other domains like industrial automation, SCADA based Systems and Medical electronics. Worked on several controllers and several RTOS’s. Presently working on ADAS domain as a solution architect. Leading the embedded teams working on different ADAS projects. Have worked on several multicore platforms like the NXP’s Tree-runner ,TI’s TDA 2X , Xilinx’s Zync 7020 platforms where multicore processors are used in the ADAS ECU’s. Have supported ADAS projects from conception to the production level. ADAS Algorithms on NXP – Leading a team which is presently working for a front camera based ADAS module having NXP’s S32V234 Soc and Green Hills OS, developing two features Lane Departure warning and Forward Collision Alert.
Front Camera Module based ADAS on Xilinx – Lead a team which worked on optimization of ABC feature for a front camera based ADAS module having Xilinx Zync 7030 SOC, used the Neon co processing(SIMD) functionalities to a large extent in the optimization to achieve the required target figures.
Instrument Cluster for Volvo- Handle the module, which takes care of the cluster settings. The user is able to make some settings in the cluster like the language to use, measurement units, time/date formats, and sound volume.
Power Window developement- Power window development with Anti-pinch algorithm for Honda motors , responsible of complete system development integration on two different controlors (Fujitsu and NEC).
Mr.Ninad Deshpande graduated in Electronics and Telecommunication engineering from University of Pune and is having varied experience in automation industry. He has worked in different areas of automation industry like application development, testing, R&D. Presently working with B&R Industrial Automation Pvt. Ltd as a Specialist in Open Technologies.
Mr.Ravindra has worked for LG, Honeywell and Intel companies before founding Agenttech, which is into the design and manufacturing of an integrated, interoperable and re-configurable smart automation products for home and office, precision electronics based agriculture products to save power and water resources, telematics in the connected vehicles/cars, smart traffic management, smart metering and sensors in the IoT / IoE environment.
He has authored 13 US (issued), 23 Indian (pending) and 10 international (pending) patents in various product segments viz., optimization in DSP implementation, orthogonal transform for text/data mining, algorithms for wireless communication, real time speech and character recognition, real time scheduling and optimization, fuzzy control system, cycle efficient algorithms for real time implementation, DSP compilers, code generation, smart automation at home and office, smart meters, connected cars and telematics, smart traffic management, trans converters, intent e-commerce, an efficient adaptive drug development.
He is also an advisory board member for a PG course and a reviewer for two international technical journals. Mr. Bhat is Technical Consultant with ANSYS for India/SE Asia. He is involved with customers in their design, development and verification of embedded systems and software across multiple domains and provides technical support and consulting for SCADE deployment. Prior to ANSYS, he was a consultant for SCADE with Esterel Technologies. He also has worked for companies like IBM, Telelogic, Trident Infosol and Advanced Micronic Devices Ltd. Overall, he has more than 15 years of professional experience.
He has a master’s degree in Software Systems from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, BE in Electronics and Communications from VTU and also a Diploma in Electronics. He is also an OMG Certified UML and SysML professional.

Dr. Amar Prasad Reddy is Additional Director General at NCSSSI ( National Cyber Safety Security and Standards of India) He always want to qualify himself by winning the hearts of others and doing service to the society, He has done is Engineering in Computer Science and Masters in Financial Administration and he also done is Doctorate in Philosophy in Knowledge Management. He started the National Cyber Safety and Security Standards which has been started with a great vision to safeguard the nation from the current threats in the cyber space. The multi-dimensional structure of technology in the cyber space poses a great challenge in handling the complex problems in the cyber domain.

Shinto Joseph is currently working as Director - South East Asia Operations at LDRA Technology Pvt. Ltd, subsidiary of LDRA Ltd UK. He did his MBA from Christ College (today’s Christ University) Institute of management and B.Tech in Computer Science from Kerala University. Challenges In Powertrain Electronics For BSVI & Beyond
Abstract : Powertrain comprising of Engine & Transmission systems paly very important role and greatly influence in determining entire vehicle performance & drivability. Though, powertrain is core to mechanical in nature it is increasingly becoming more sensitive and electrified to meet regulatory and customer demands. Functions and software is gaining more importance to manage conflicting requirements like Drivability, Fuel Economy, Emission and safety. Also, future powertrain controls should be capable of handling alternate fuels, remote connectivity and link with navigation, electrical drives and other upcoming sophisticated autonomous functions. I would like to dwell challenges in Engine & Transmission Electronics to meet stricter and tight emission legislations of BSVI and new drivetrain requirements to make transport vehicles ECO FRIENDLY.
